Matthew is an experienced trial lawyer who focuses his practice representing clients in complex civil litigation in state and federal courts. Through his career, Matthew has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants resulting in successful outcomes, including prevailing in court negotiating favorable settlements. In addition to his litigation practice, Matthew has broad experience counseling clients regarding laws and regulations in various practice areas.
Prior to joining Knight Nicastro MacKay, Matthew practiced civil litigation at a law firm in Washington, DC, where he participated in multiple trials and appeals in both state and federal courts.
Matthew graduated from The George Washington University Law School in Washington, DC, where he served as an articles editor on the Journal of Environmental and Energy Law. While in law school, Matthew served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Judge Beryl A. Howell in the United States District Court for the District of Columbia and as a law clerk at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Office of General Counsel: Contracts, Procurement and Acquisition Integrity.
