Brendan M. Johns
I am an experienced trial lawyer who previously served as a Deputy District Attorney (DDA) in multiple judicial districts within the State of Colorado. Most recently, I worked for the State of Colorado’s 20th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Boulder, Colorado; and before that, I worked in the 12th Judicial District Attorney’s Office in Alamosa, Colorado. As a DDA, I prepared and tried approximately 50 different Jury Trials, and became fluent in handling all aspects of litigation, ranging from successfully engaging in plea negotiations, to arguing at contested constitutional motions hearings, to helping secure restitution agreements designed to make individuals economically whole again. In addition to being comfortable inside of the courtroom, I also utilize an aggressive motions practice to help reach desired outcomes in an efficient and effective manner.
Prior to serving as a DDA for four years, I earned my Juris Doctor degree from The Catholic University of America (CUA), Columbus School of Law, in Washington, D.C. While pursuing my Juris Doctor degree I successfully completed several externships, serving as a Law Clerk for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, and the U.S. Department of the Interior. Upon graduating from CUA, I then earned my Masters of Law (LLM) degree from the Elisabeth Haub school of Law at Pace University, where I graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors.
Brendan enjoys hiking, snowboarding, working out, and yoga.
