Effective immediately Knight Nicastro will officially be Knight Nicastro MacKay, LLC. The name change reflects the firm’s growth and the outstanding contribution of Derek MacKay who is a current member practicing in the firm’s Kansas City, Missouri, office. Comprised of highly experienced trial attorneys, notably in transportation and insurance defense, Knight Nicastro MacKay, LLC will continue to represent clients in all phases of litigation nationwide.

MacKay joined Knight Nicastro in October 2018, bringing his team from his prior firm including Allison Greenfield, Erik Nelson and Pamela Winter. The addition greatly expanded Knight Nicastro’s insurance defense practice. MacKay has significant experience representing insurance carriers, corporations and commercial transportation clients in matters involving product and contractual liability, personal injury defense and employment disputes. He practices in all areas of civil litigation with a focus on personal injury and wrongful death; and has successfully defended clients in numerous high-exposure, high-stakes cases.

Knight Nicastro MacKay, LLC has seen significant growth in the first two quarters of the year, attracting top talent and expanding into new markets. Since January the firm’s roster of skilled trial attorneys has grown by more than 60 percent, with four new additions in Montana and five attorneys joining the newly opened offices in Peoria and Chicago, Illinois.
