I previously worked as a paralegal for the State of Iowa Department of Cultural Affairs, and I just finished two service years with AmeriCorps City Year where I worked in a local KCPS high school to provide educational support and mentorship to students.
I volunteer with the Kansas City Public Schools mentor program where I mentor up to five of my former students. Outside of work I enjoy reading, spending time with my friends and family, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
