Before joining Knight Nicastro MacKay, Clay Karpowich worked as a public defender with the Kansas Board of Indigent Services, where he quickly gained extensive courtroom experience representing clients charged with felony offenses. His litigation skills were honed early in law school through participation in National Mock Trial competitions and involvement in the Paul E. Wilson Project for Innocence. Clay brings a strong foundation in trial advocacy and a deep commitment to client-centered representation to his current civil practice.
