FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Knight Nicastro, best known for its national transportation defense practice, announces a significant addition to its insurance defense group in its Kansas City office. Trial attorneys Derek MacKay, Allison Greenfield, Erik Nelson and Pamela Winter, now formerly of Brown & James, announced they are joining Knight Nicastro’s expanding insurance defense practice. Derek and his team bring with them an impressive roster of insurance carrier clients. The announcement also comes within weeks of a recent appellate victory the firm landed for a major client before the Montana Supreme Court. The highest court in Montana affirmed a defense verdict in a major toxic exposure case tried to a jury last year in Kalispell, Montana.
“This is a fantastic moment for our firm. We are trial attorneys who defend companies in high exposure cases and are the best at what we do. When we saw how Derek and his group demonstrated the same talent and dedication to their clients and insurance carriers, we wanted them to join our team,” said Chad Knight of Knight Nicastro.
Derek MacKay and his team have over 30 years of experience representing insurance carriers, corporations and commercial transportation clients in matters involving product and contractual liability, personal injury defense and employment disputes.
“I have known Chad (Knight) for some time and believe he is building the law firm model of the future. Companies, carriers and individuals are more regularly seeking more efficient, flexible, nimble firms to handle their legal needs. This firm aggressively litigates matters and is second to none in the courtroom. My group and I look are looking forward to bringing our dedication and expertise to Knight Nicastro,” said MacKay.
Knight Nicastro is a national law firm with offices in Boulder, Colorado; Kansas City, Missouri; and Billings, Montana.
